In a visit to the Louve, I fell in love with the backgrounds of paintings of saints ascending to heaven (they are in the same room as the Mona Lisa). This is the first in a series of little paintings of ascending fruit and veggies, combining my love for those breathtaking sky and cloud paintings at the Louve with still life.
