Very Last Tulip

Just one more of the tulips still hanging in...and I had to memorialize it. Again a little hint of Spring. Hope you enjoy it as much as I loved painting it.

Last Tulips (5x7")

It is kind of interesting to see the change in my pallet now that the tulips are on the wane. The leaves are more yellow and the tulips themselves fading. A stark contrast to the preceding tulip painting. Thought some explanation about my sporadic posting to this blog...I scan my paintings so they must be dry before I can make a jpeg and upload them. I usually have to wait several days and often two or three will be dry together. This is why you sometimes see several paintings posted in one day and then several days without a post.
